Covid-19 Update
We are happy to inform you that our office, Bramalea Periodontics, will be opening again on June 8, 2020.
The Ministry of Health has lifted the restrictions that were placed on dental offices back in March 2020, so that we can start seeing patients for regular dental care.
Our office has always had strict infection control standards, and in order to keep us all protected during this pandemic and moving forward, we have updated our protocols. When we see you at our next appointment, things will be a little different.
- we will ask some screening questions to you before your appointment and again when you come to the office for your appointment
- you will be asked to wait outside or in your car for your appointment. We will text or call you to tell you when it is time to enter the office
- at the door entry when we ask you some questions, we will spray your hands with hand sanitizer and take your temperature (non-touch)
- to enable social distancing there is no longer an in-office the waiting area. Any family members that want to accompany you should stay at home or will be asked to wait in the car
- appointments will be spaced out to allow for social distancing. That means less flexibility for scheduling your appointment, but it will also reduce the number of patients in the office at one time
- we will look a little different- we will be wearing more protective gear (PPE) - such as masks, face shields and gowns- than we normally would during your visit
- we ask each patient to bring their OWN MASK to the appointment- you will not be able to enter the office without a mask
- we have installed HEPA air filters, a plexiglass shield at the front desk and doors to our operatories
- we will be working paperless as much as possible- obtaining credit card information over the phone, emailing forms and receipts, zoom or telephone discussions and checks, online insurance submissions, online referral forms
- we will not be able to see you if you have any signs or symptoms of covid-19; or have come in contact with someone with signs or symptoms; or have travelled outside Ontario in the last 14-days, unless it is an emergency
Rest assured, all these procedures are designed to create the safest environment for you, your family, other patients and our team. We look forward to seeing you again.
